Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan (Hindi: [səlˈmɑːn xɑːn]; 27 December 1965) [3] is an Indian actor, filmmaker, and television personality working in Hindi films. In a film career spanning more than three decades, Khan has won numerous awards, including two National Film Awards as a filmmaker, and two Filmfare awards for acting. [4] The media has been identified as one of the most successful commercial actors in Indian cinema. [5] [6] Forbes included her in their 2015 list of the Top 100 Paid Celebrities in the World; Khan is tied with Amitabh Bachchan at number 71 on the list, both of whom have a net worth of $ 33.5 million. [7] [8] According to Forbes' 2018 list of the world's top 100 celebrities, Khan was the 82nd-ranked Indian who earned $ 37.7 million. [9] [10] He has also been known as the real program manager, Bigg Boss since 2010. [11]
The eldest son of screenwriter Salim Khan, Khan began his acting career with a supporting role in Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988), followed by Maine Pyar Kiya (1989). Khan continued in Bollywood in the 1990s playing a role in many productions, including the romantic drama Hum Aapke Hain Koun ..! (1994), comedy Andaz Apna Apna (1994), actor Karan Arjun (1995), comedy Biwi No.1 (1999), and family drama Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999). After a period of decline in the 2000s, Khan gained great popularity in the 2010s by playing a leading role in successful action films such as Dabangg (2010), Ready (2011), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Kick (2014), Sultan. (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017).
In addition to his acting career, Khan is a television presenter and promotes charitable purposes with his help, the Being Human Foundation. [12] Khan's off-screen life has been marred by controversy and legal issues. In 2015 he was convicted of culpable homicide for reckless or negligent driving in which he crashed into five people in his car, killing one, but his conviction was later dropped on an appeal. [13] [14] [15] [16] On April 5, 2018, Khan was convicted of poaching blackbuck and sentenced to five years in prison. [17] [18] He is currently out on bail during the appeal hearing. [19]

Early life and ancestrySalman Khan is the eldest son of screenwriter Salim Khan and his first wife Sushila Charak, who adopted the name Salma. [21] Born to a Hindu mother and a Muslim father on December 27, 1965, Khan was raised in both religions. [22] In 1980, when Salma and Salim divorced and her father married actress Helen, the children's relationship with their father became hostile and recovered years later. [23]

Salman Khan's paternal grandfather was Alakozai Pashtuns [24] [25] [26] [27] Afghanistan [28] who moved to Indore State, Indore Residency (now in Madhya Pradesh), British India in the mid-1800s; however, Jasim Khan in his autobiography states that his ancestors belonged to the Akuzai tribe of the Pashtun Yusufzai tribe of Malakand in the Swat district of Frontier Province in North West, British India (modern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan). [29] His grandfather Abdul Rashid Khan was the Deputy Inspector General of the Indore region who was awarded the Diler Jung Award during the Holkar period. [30] Khan's mother is the owner of the home, [31] [32] his father Baldev Singh Charak, [33] Dogra Rajput, [34] hails from Jammu in Jammu and Kashmir [33] [35] and his Marathi mother is from Maharashtra. 36] [32] Khan can also speak Marathi, in addition to Hindi and English. [37] He has two brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan; and his two sisters, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, who is married to actor/director Atul Agnihotri, and his adopted sister Arpita. [38]

Salman graduated from St. Louis. Stanislaus High School in Bandra, Mumbai, with his younger brothers Arbaaz and Sohail. Previously, he attended Scindia School in Gwalior for a few years with his younger brother Arbaaz. [39] He studied at St. Xavier's College in Mumbai but he stopped. [40]💕💖💗💓💝💔💕💕💕
