Playing Nice
No, it's not Ms. Help Manners, and not Polite Polly knocking on your door. We just know how easy it is to get frustrated or even angry when you are playing a difficult game, but if we are not careful, that anger and frustration can lead to the worst moments of time we should be laughing at. The following is provided in an effort to keep everything fun and entertaining during team play.
1. Encourage one another. Even if you are competing against each other in boxing or car racing, take the time to congratulate another athlete on a smooth or cunning move. There is no need to refresh, but when the tension is high, and the desire to impress is high, you can help relieve any stress by offering a few suggestions here and there.
2. Be patient. Game partners may not be as fast, connected, or as smart as you. So if you see the pace of your game slowing down, don't blame it. You could quietly plan your next move or ask for help if you see that your friends seem lost. This will encourage teamwork and bring back some of the stress that is involved in playing a difficult game.
3. Take a break. Allowing your team to find the right places in the game to pause, take advantage of the opportunity, and get up to stretch, eat, use the john, talk about school, or catch a few silly commercials on television. Playing a long game is tedious and stressful at the same time.
4. Play an interactive game. We, therefore, aim to make efforts to ensure that everyone in the team participates in the completion of the game. You don’t want to make someone else feel left out or just walk around to fill the space. Create opportunities for everyone involved to participate and help play.
5. Listen to others. You may think you know all the answers about a game or a game plan, but listen to what others in the group have to say. You may learn something new.
6. Invite “a strange young man.” This little advice just comes after the horrific Virginia Tech tragedy. Legend has it that the young man who was involved in the crime was lonely and the victim of bullying during his teenage years. Sometimes, all that is needed to prevent such things is a simple attempt to reach the person. We do not suggest that the invitation to the game party would save the lives of 33+ college students, but we do suggest that making an effort to make others feel welcome and wanted is a major step in eliminating the known divisions that are causing these. types of irrational actions.
7. Make a vow to keep your voice and cursing low. That is almost meaningless, but in order to prevent misunderstandings, agree in advance not to cross the line when it comes to strategy or game selection. Some of the most serious battles come from pointless conflicts. But you can prevent a ruckus from your team by maintaining a calm atmosphere throughout the session.
Now see? That's not the worst list. All the things we have suggested are certainly “possible” and really work to create a calm and happy environment.🎮🎲
